In 2020 John & Courtney Gilcrease had a vision to turn a 4-acre parcel located in Krum Texas into a breathtaking homestead. They set out to build a dream home where they could capture special moments that would last a lifetime.

 As the construction began hundreds of people would stop and ask if we were building a resort of some sort or a wedding venue. John would simply laugh and respond with, "No, we are building our forever home." Once the construction for the wine cellar was underway it became a guessing game for by passers of what that structure would be used for. John thought it was humorous of how many people thought it was a guard shack. 

 Material pricing skyrocketed so everything came to a screeching halt with construction. Even though they were still in the land developing stage John felt it was best to place his and his wife's dreams on hold for a while. It was a devastating decision that they spent weeks, if not months making. 

 It wasn't until the Gilcrease family started taking their annual family photos on this beautiful property that people started asking if they could take their family photos there as well. The 32 ft extended bridge that stretched over the 1-acre pond became a popular attraction. Families would travel from miles around to capture a moment in time with their loved ones on this bridge. Pictures of the bridge are now hanging on hundreds of walls in the North Texas DFW area. 

 It was at that point that John and Cortney felt that the property would be of better use shared. This was the moment Cedar Bridge Venue was born. Whether it's engagement photos or prom pictures Cedar Bridge will be a place you can share a moment in time. 

Laughter, smiles, or tears of joy will be imprinted on this bridge for years to come.
